The Expressive Power of Number-D at the Intersection of Art and CommerceNumber-D encountered graffiti culture in his teens and began his career in his hometown of Tokyo. Grounded in sensibilities shaped on the street, he now develops cross-genre artworks commissioned by corporations, characters, and global brands. His artistic practice spans more than a decade. His work has been adopted by numerous prominent domestic and international companies, media outlets, and fashion brands, including Pokémon, Yomiuri Giants, Tokyo Yakult Swallows, Chevrolet, TOYOTA, BMW, SONY, and CASIO (G-SHOCK). Among these, his collaboration for the opening of Pokémon Center Shibuya is widely recognized as one of his signature works. The nationally distributed collaborative merchandise earned high acclaim both in Japan and abroad, significantly expanding recognition of his name. Rooted in street culture yet capable of balancing commercial appeal with artistic integrity at a high level, Number-D is an artist who continues to draw growing attention.

MH Gallery operates under the philosophy of “enriching customers’ lives through art” and “nurturing promising artists,” with a focus on contemporary art. The works we handle are created by artists with formal training in the fine arts, carefully selected for both their strong artistic vision and the high quality of their work. We also place great emphasis on discovering and supporting young artists both in Japan and abroad, fostering an environment where the next generation of creators can grow. Our exhibition space is designed to be open and inviting, allowing visitors to quietly engage with the works and experience them on a deeper level. Although MH Gallery is a newly established gallery founded in 2024, it carries on the tradition of the owner’s grandfather and father, who ran a gallery for over 40 years. Building on this foundation of experience and knowledge, we continue to propose new ways of engaging with contemporary art.
