What’s Next for Street Artist Number-D, Known for Collaborations with Leading Global Brands?
Artist Number-D has developed a distinctive visual language rooted in sensibilities shaped on the streets.
Based in Tokyo, he now works across genres, creating artwork commissioned by corporations, characters, and global brands.
He encountered graffiti culture in his teens and began his career in Tokyo, where street-based experience became the foundation of his practice.
Over the years, Number-D’s work has been adopted by a wide range of prominent domestic and international brands, including Pokémon, Yomiuri Giants, Tokyo Yakult Swallows, Chevrolet, TOYOTA, BMW, SONY, and CASIO (G-SHOCK).
Among these, his collaboration for the opening of Pokémon Center Shibuya stands out as one of his most recognized works, earning widespread acclaim both in Japan and internationally through nationally distributed collaborative merchandise.
Building on this extensive career, Intersection Without Borders marks Number-D’s first solo exhibition.
The exhibition takes place in Ginza, a symbolic urban crossroads where culture, economy, and history intersect.
Standing at this “intersection,” Number-D presents new rhythms born from the collision of urban noise and silence, diverse cultures, and contrasting values—unfolding across five distinct sections within the exhibition.
With a background deeply rooted in street culture, Number-D has consistently balanced commercial appeal with artistic integrity at a high level.
This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience the current state of his practice- and a glimpse into what lies ahead.

MH GALLERY
Tokyo, Japan / est. 2024
MH Gallery operates under the philosophy of “enriching customers’ lives through art” and “nurturing promising artists,” with a focus on contemporary art. The works we handle are created by artists with formal training in the fine arts, carefully selected for both their strong artistic vision and the high quality of their work.
We also place great emphasis on discovering and supporting young artists both in Japan and abroad, fostering an environment where the next generation of creators can grow. Our exhibition space is designed to be open and inviting, allowing visitors to quietly engage with the works and experience them on a deeper level.
Although MH Gallery is a newly established gallery founded in 2024, it carries on the tradition of the owner’s grandfather and father, who ran a gallery for over 40 years. Building on this foundation of experience and knowledge, we continue to propose new ways of engaging with contemporary art.- URL
