biscuit gallery in Shinjuku, Tokyo, is pleased to present Flowers and Anger, a solo exhibition by Koji Ajisaka, opening on July 4, 2026.

Following his exhibition at biscuit gallery last year, this presentation will feature approximately 60 paintings of flowers, in various sizes, created by Fukuoka-based painter Koji Ajisaka since last autumn. All works are new, previously unexhibited acrylic paintings.

Regarding the title Flowers and Anger, the artist states:

“Flowers” refers simply to flowers in bloom. Needless to say, they are symbols of anti-war sentiment and peace.
“Anger,” on the other hand, refers to anger toward the current state of the world, where the powerful prevail and the weak are oppressed.
For the past several years, I have been moving my brush almost frantically as an outlet for this grief and indignation. It was from this feeling that the title was born.

Although the exhibition takes place during the intense summer heat, we warmly invite you to visit.
