Shop rin art association is pleased to present “Artisanal”, a solo exhibition by Bokunou.
Bokunou was a comedian at Yoshimoto Kogyo in the past and is still active as a comedian, performer, artist, etc.
His works are presented on social media, YouTube, clubs, live houses, TV, exhibitions, etc., and he deconstructs even the existing art media with his elusive and unique activities.
From DJ-style performances mixing scents while squeezing various fruits, to apparel that has no zips or strings, leaving existing functions suspended in mid-air, his works effectively and forcefully shift the viewer's thinking in a comic manner.
His first large-scale solo exhibition was held at PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO last year. A collection of 1,000 of his past works was also published and received a very favorable reception.
His works are still being produced in increasing numbers, and his works published on the Internet have caused a lot of “buzz” phenomena, earning him the nickname “Margiela of the social media world” and charismatic popularity among his fans around the world.
This exhibition is composed mainly of apparel works. The collection is wearable and will bring you a lot of joy and awareness when you wear it out and about.
