Shop rin art association is pleased to present "BACK TO THE PAST”.
Some studies suggest that regression (infantile regression) may promote creativity. Regression by oneself and for oneself is thought to recall primordial impulses and emotions and to return oneself to a neutral state by removing the ego, which can be a source of new creativity.
Learning from history means taking lessons from past events and applying them to the present and future. History is a valuable source of information that records the growth and transition of human society. By perceiving and learning from the failures and successes within it, as well as their causes and consequences, we can accumulate wisdom to build a better future. This will enable us to do better without repeating the same mistakes.
This exhibition intends to both learn from history and restore childhood memories, and each piece on display will carry the thoughts of its creators and users, as well as the memories etched in history.
We hope this exhibition will provide an opportunity for visitors to reflect on their own history and the history of the world while tracing their own memories from childhood.

rin art association はコレクターである原田崇人が2010年に設立した群馬県高崎市に所在する現代美術を中心に扱うギャラリー。群馬県内のオルタナティブスペースを中心に活動後、2017年1月に高崎駅近郊のスペースに移転。現在は「まえばしガレリア ギャラリー2」においても定期的に展覧会を開催。現代においての有効な「哲学」を追求し、美術史の文脈に有効に接続する概念的な作品を紹介しています。
