Mayu Yukishita "FACE"

MH Gallery will hold Mayu Yukishita’s solo exhibition “FACE” starting Tuesday, November 11, 2025. In recent years, Mayu Yukishita has continued to create works based on 3D models. This exhibition, positioned as a culmination of her practice in conjunction with the publication of her art book, marks a return to her origins with a series of paintings depicting her own face, photographed on film. The subtle distortions and fluctuations born during the film development process are incorporated into her work as motifs that evoke the passage of time and layers of memory. Through this exhibition, viewers can witness Yukishita’s exploration of her own existence as a medium — tracing the “face” as an origin point that emerges between memory and the present, the real and the illusory.
