BIO
Born 1981 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. He graduated from the oil painting course at Nagoya Zokei University in 2004 and completed his postgraduate studies in oil painting at Aichi University of the Arts in 2008.
Suzuki creates works on the theme of ‘artificial light’. As the artist captures the surroundings he has seen on canvas, his emotions and brushstrokes overlap, resulting in paintings that evoke human activities rather than the scenery he has recognized.
Each scene is imagined by the viewer based on their own experiences and recollection. Suzuki’s paintings revive familiar everyday life as something new, providing an opportunity to reflect on the present.
