We are pleased to announce the exhibition titled “夜空と盃|Drinking under the moonlight” from February 28, 2026.

Consisting of two parts, this exhibition brings together paintings depicting the night sky, drinking vessels from across time and geography, and vintage furniture designed by Japanese and French architect/designers.

Part I features paintings by Alex Katz, Jadé Fadojutimi, and Julian Opie, alongside a hanging scroll by Tani Buncho; drinking vessels by Ogata Kenzan, and Kawakita Handeishi as well as Japanese ceramics from the Momoyama period to the present day and wares from the Song, Ming, and Joseon dynasties, Delft ware, and Negoro lacquer trays; and furniture by Shigeru Uchida, Isamu Kenmochi, Katsuhei Toyoguchi, and Jean Prouvé.

Seated quietly with a cup in hand, looking up at the night sky,
this exhibition was created with such an evening in mind.

We extend our gratitude to Susumu Miyashita of Kobijutsu Miyashita and Toshihiro Terauchi as well as Satsuki Sasagase, and Sadanori Suzuki of es quart for their generous support and collaboration.
