Between city and region, maker and user, new values emerge where different perspectives intersect.
Over three days, this exhibition creates a space where these viewpoints coexist—cultivating new ways of seeing objects and society, deepening shared values, and fostering meaningful connections.

“IWAMI TRIBE” is an experiential exhibition presented by SUKIMONO, a multidisciplinary practice based in the Iwami region of Shimane Prefecture, working across design, architecture, and hospitality to address regional challenges. This marks the first time the exhibition is held in Tokyo.
The term “Iwami Tribe” refers to artisans and creators who take pride in the land of Iwami and devote their ingenuity to their work. United by a shared philosophy of how to live and what to value, they form a creative collective rooted in intention rather than efficiency or profit alone. Objects created through enjoyment, struggle, and sincere dedication carry the power to move the human heart.

Through refined products shaped in Iwami, this exhibition invites visitors in the heart of Tokyo to experience the “lifestance”—the values and ways of living—that exist behind the making.

Please experience firsthand the quiet intensity of craftsmanship nurtured in Iwami, and the new values it offers for the next generation.
