YOD TOKYO is pleased to present “Between Life,” a two-person exhibition featuring Austyn Taylor and Tamaki Yoshimura.

Austyn Taylor creates three-dimensional animal sculptures using clay, bringing to life humorous and endearing creatures.
Meanwhile, Tamaki Yoshimura uses paint and fabric to depict the nature found in everyday life—such as flowers and plants—in a way that expands the boundaries of painterly expression.

In this exhibition, the plants and animals created by these two artists through their distinct techniques come together in the shared space of the gallery, creating a small natural landscape within the city.
Although the two artists are based in different countries—Japan and the United States—their works offer an opportunity to rediscover the connections between all forms of life that surround us.

We hope you enjoy the exhibition.
