BIO
1969年カルフォルニア州デイビス生まれ。現在ロサンゼルスを拠点に活動するマンゴ・トムソンは、映像や音、彫刻などを通して慣例や一般的な認識を覆すコンセプチュアルな作品で知られている。雑誌、広告、壁掛けカレンダー、宅配便のダンボール箱をはじめとする印刷物やアーカイブ資料を扱いながら表現する彼の大胆な作品は、マスメディアの構造や消費主義の影響などを鋭くも遊び心たっぷりに分析し、果ては人類の存在意義までをも壮大な時間感覚を持って俯瞰する。
